The site is generated using Quartz, the content is backed by Obsidian (for now)1 One of the reasons why I opted to use Quartz was the (indirect) support for org-roam as I have been eyeing Emacs for a while now - mainly for org-mode and meow-mode. , and content is served with nginx running on a NixOS machine. The reasons for choosing these are simple - they kind of just work while having the features I need. I choose this domain name because I really like sunflowers but also many of my favorite anime characters have connections to the flower as well. I would consider this space still a work in progress as I still have yet to mess around with the layout and fonts.
Regarding the name of this digital space I thought the following was appropriate:

I am a tortured (chronically online) poet (code monkey) working (in the mines) @ corpo. For $JOB, my previous focus has been on CI/CD and API gluing but now I’m mainly focused on distributed systems2 Some might say this is still API gluing. Please do not @ me. and developer experience. Outside of work my interests constantly shift, but some of the things that have been a bit more consistent have been coffee, working out, and consuming art.
